Arsenal vs Chelsea
Last night was an upset at the Emirates as Arsenal beat the Premier League defending champions, Chelsea 3-1.
Chelsea is now struggling with a total four defeats in last eight of their league games descending them down to fifth in the table, provided Tottenham Hotspur prospers in their game this afternoon. Chelsea now resides at a six point deficit behind the league leaders, Manchester United.
Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal team manager, aided his team to be composed and fluent and the team responded well, playing the game according to their manager’s grand plans; the same team with a five season streak without a trophy.
In the game, Alex Song, Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott scored for Arsenal by half time in a 10-minute split span. The man of the match was given to Jack Wilshere as the game commenced and the inferiority complex was well shaken off of the Arsenal heaping a massive misery over Chelsea.
The game between Arsenal and Chelsea, two of the top teams of English Football, was anticipated by any. On six minutes, a beautifully flighted ball over the top from Alex Song went straight onto Robin Van Persie’s foot, but the Dutchman’s control let him down and the ball went behind for a goal kick. Suddenly Chelsea could be seen fighting back hard, but unfortunately for the blues the Gunners’ defence could not be penetrated.
Ancelotti is no doubt under immense pressure after this game and needs to do much better if he wants to stay with the team. Luiz Felipe Scolari saw the owner’s evil side and lasted only seven months after his team performed very weakly for several games in a row.
