The result was probably not surprising thinking about actual Madrid – who trails Barcelona by  two points – has 47 points versus Villarreal’s 36 points, highlighting the difference between the top two teams and the remainder of the La Liga field.

two minutes later actual Madrid’s superb forward Cristiano Ronaldo did what they does so well, when they slipped one into the back of Villarreal’s net to tie the score at 1-1. But the action was  warming up as Villarreal soon responded.

That said, it was the visiting Villarreal that got off to a better start at Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid on Sunday, when midfielder Cani put one into the back of actual Madrid’s net in the sixth minute, shaking the home team awake.

However, that all changed when  before half time Ronaldo scored his second objective of the match to equalise on 2-2. Fans blessed  to be watching the game live used the half time break to relax after such a highly charged first half.

In the 17th minute Villarreal striker showed off his speed when they was  speedy for actual Madrid’s goalkeeper and put his side ahead on 2-1. Then for very  30 minutes neither team could manage to make progress against the other.

But when the two La Liga titans emerged for the second half, the scales had shifted in favour of the home team, as actual Madrid proceeded to run rings around their bewildered rivals, particularly thanks to the efforts of midfielder, Kaká.

although the scoreline remained unchanged for most of the half, Villarreal were on the defensive, and it was only a matter of time before actual took charge of the match which they did in the 78th minutes courtesy again of Ronaldo.

The Portuguese playmaker celebrated his hat trick to the delight of the home fans, and  five minutes later Kaká added his stamp to the game with a objective that saw the home team see out the match with a comprehensive 4-2 victory.
